Add or Suggest a Dataset

The Open Pathogen Kinetics Commons is a community-driven resource. We rely on contributions from researchers, public health agencies, and diagnostic labs to grow this collective library. We welcome all contributions, from large datasets to single, well-documented kinetic profiles.

How to Contribute

We are currently formalizing our data ingestion pipeline. For now, the best way to contribute is to ensure your data is formatted according to our standard and to get in touch with our team.

1. Review the Data Standard

To make standardization as smooth as possible, please review our OPKC Data Standard. At a minimum, we require all Essential Fields. Datasets that also include Encouraged Fields are especially valuable as they allow for richer, more detailed stratified analysis.

2. Prepare Your Data

The ideal format for contribution is a simple .csv file where each row represents a single sample measurement and each column corresponds to one of our defined data fields.

3. Get in Touch

Once you have a dataset (or even just an idea for a dataset to include), please reach out to our team. We can help answer questions about formatting and coordinate the data transfer.
